I have always been fascinated with drawing. I loved creating drawings based on stories or just from my own imagination. It was only until I started at the Ottawa School of Art that I combined these two passions together. Studying cartooning and Comic book creation at the Ottawa School of Art (OSA) under Gerrard Belec opened my eyes to many possibilities. During my time at the OSA I volunteered, took classes, and eventually had a summer job.
While in High School I had the opportunity to participate for one semester in a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) at Merivale High School under Irving Osterer. Irv guided me in the creative arts including animation, photography, and graphic design. I later attended Design Thinkers 2016 with my classmates which opened my eyes to the graphic design field. In my last year of high school the SHSM program led me to a coop term with the Canadian Film Institute and the Ottawa Animation Festival. Here I performed volunteer work and event photography.
Currently I am enrolled in Graphic Design at Algonquin College in Ottawa.
